There are so many places to go and things to do here in West Wales, from museums, to forts, to farms, to thrills and spills; more than enough to keep you entertained during your holiday, rain or shine. This is just a small selection of some wonderful days out, all within easy reach of Trenewydd Farm.

Oakwood Theme Park

The biggest theme park in Wales is easily within reach for a fantastic day out. Offering a adrenaline-fuelled experience and a magical adventure, Oakwood is great fun for everyone.

Toddler friendly rides, exciting roller coaster, newly updated Arcade, mini-golf and more. Special events for Halloween, late night riding seasons, food and drink, and free dog kennels.

Castell Henllys

Experience life 2,000 years ago at this reproduction Iron Age Village; one of the most popular places in the area for families to visit.

Check their events calendar, and train as a warrior, watch a woodsman at work, or huddle around a roundhouse fire to hear tales from a bygone age and learn lessons from the past. The stunning view of the surrounding countryside makes it worth a visit on its own.

National Wool Museum

Discover the spellbinding story of the Welsh woollen industry in the picturesque village of Dre-fach Felindre in the beautiful Teifi valley.

Located in the historic former Cambrian Mills, all kinds of woollen items were all made here, and sold to the rest of the world. Follow the whole process from fleece to fabric, then enjoy a selection of food and drink in the lovely cafe.

Teifi Valley Railway

Enjoy a trip back in time, on either steam or diesel locomotives, running on 2ft narrow gauge track. Dogs are welcome. 

 

Or take the miniature Pixie Line, which  passes through magical Pixie villages, camp sites and secret woodland haunts. 

There is also a cafe, and new sice 2020 a museum set in an old signal box.
