COUNTRY MARKETS

Choose a Local Market, Chock Full of Local Produce, and Just Meander

There are plenty of regular markets happening locally - pick up some local produce to enjoy, or find some knick-knacks to take home as mementos of your holiday. Country Markets are all different, with a range of produce and expert skills on display. You can normally buy cakes, pastries, jams, marmalades and chutneys; eggs and honey, as well as home-grown fruit and vegetables. Look out too for traditional and contemporary crafts.

Many markets also serve refreshments, so plan to stop for a coffee. Do double check the details before you go, in case they have changed!

The annual Cardigan River and Food Festival takes place in August and is well worth a visit, with a variety of food and drink on sale, as well as fantastic crafts-people, and brilliant local chefs giving practical demonstrations.
